BREATHTAKING ALPS, WATERFALLS & CHEESE ROLLING CONTESTS

“A clean house, is a clean mind,” Swiss proverb.

Resting in southwest Europe, Switzerland is home to one of nature’s most famous wonders: The Swiss Alps, which bring monthly tens of thousands wide eyes from around the world to experience breathtaking awe. Spectacular beauty contained in the country’s top rank waterfall Staubbach, which sits above a scenic village in the Bernese Oberland; and the Reichenbach Falls, that is famous for it is the place where Sherlock Holmes fell to his ‘death’. And before you leave, one could participate in a downhill a cheese rolling contest, which dates back to 1826 in England. It is a race down hill, where a roll of cheese is released and contestants race (windup tumbling forward at speeds up to 70 miles per hour. Yeah, 70 mph) where their bride or groom awaits.

VALLEY OF 72 WATERFALLS

Lauterbrunnen, surely, is on every hiker’s wish list. 72…72…72 waterfalls. The tiny town, that sits in a valley in the Swiss Alps, is a town of barely 2,400. Having problems visualizing the natures generous footprint, just replay the iconic scene from the classic film The Sound of Music runs parallel to that famous outdoor scene etched in film history; throw some giant waterfalls shewing mist onto the village edge, as the water freefalls. Yeah, you readers got it. Oh yeah.

A long held communist strong hold, the unassuming destination is ninety five miles south of the Florida Keys. Even though they have many, many years to go to reach first world status, the influx of tourism the past ten years, has drastically increased the island’s revenue. With historic landmarks influenced by colonialism, revolution and the arts, the 27 million square acres in the Caribbean has something for diverse interests. The beaches have the appeal as any other major resort destination that should have tourists longing for a return after the first step on the island’s sand.
