College kids and younger are licking there chops for the early Spring mecca duration of late March through late April. - Long considered having some the best hiking trails on Earth, Alabama. The Stone Cut Trail is made of limestone from time memorial. It is just shy of 2.5 miles long and offers a challenge to the hikers involving some total body effort and not solely cardio involvement. Caves and tunnels are part of the trail and so are some steep drop offs. Reviewers on alltrails.com suggest bringing water due to the respectable test the trail will offer. The trail opens seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 30 minutes before sunset. Pet friendly.
- The beaches of The Yellowhammer State, which Alabama is affectionately called, has some of the cleanest, the most soft sand beaches anywhere. The Hangout Music Festival is held there in mid May.
